As the chief operating officer of Weaver’s assurance and advisory services, David Rook, CPA, implements the firm’s strategic vision, driving business development initiatives, managing staff resources and optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the assurance and advisory practices. David also collaborates with the firm’s leadership and partners to deliver high value client service through thought leadership, professional development and advocacy. David has more than 18 years of experience in public accounting with a practice focus on providing audit services for publicly and privately held companies operating in various segments of the energy and manufacturing industries.

Additionally, he has experience with mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings, including reverse mergers, as well as litigation support and dispute resolution, including expert witness testimony. David was appointed to the technical standards review and peer review committees of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, in which he has served in an advisory role for more than two years. He is an active local member to several professional and industry accounting organizations. David earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University.
