Weaver is pleased to announce Robert Anderson has joined the firm as a director in its Energy Compliance Services (ECS) practice. Robert has 16 years of experience in the design, implementation and enforcement of EPA fuel compliance requirements.
Prior to joining Weaver, Robert was the team leader for the Fuels Compliance Policy Branch at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He led a team responsible for implementing and overseeing the EPA’s national fuels programs, addressing thousands of compliance inquiries annually and spearheading significant regulatory reforms. Notably, Robert played a key role in streamlining the EPA’s fuel quality programs, saving the industry millions of dollars and reducing regulatory burdens.
Throughout his career, Robert has worked with a wide range of government and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable fuel practices and compliance. His experience includes leading the EPA’s efforts to expand biofuels production, developing low-carbon intensity fuels and facilitating the use of E15 in gasoline vehicles. He has also authored significant rulemaking and led numerous initiatives that advanced regulatory efficiency and environmental stewardship.

Robert is a United States veteran, serving in the Air Force for nearly five years. He holds a Master of Arts in political science from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Saint Martin's University.
