California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Resource Center
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives significant new data privacy rights to California residents with respect to their personal information that is collected and maintained by companies doing business in California. Even if your business is compliant with current privacy laws, you must consider how the CCPA may affect your business. And, if you have not already started taking steps for compliance with the CCPA, now is the time.
Our Cybersecurity & Data Privacy team has been closely monitoring this new law and advising clients on CCPA compliance. The group is led by partner Scott Hall, who is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a Certified Information Privacy Professional for U.S. laws and regulations (CIPP/US) and for European laws and regulations (CIPP/E), including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
