BoP Public Consultation No. 1/2022

The Bank of Portugal ("BoP") has initiated a public consultation, on a draft notice on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, having as main objectives (i) to include the substantive rules applicable on this matter in a single regulation and (ii) to provide greater simplicity, clarity and flexibility to these rulings, having in consideration that, in the medium term, it is foreseen to occur the approval of a new set of european regulation in this regard.

This public consultation ends on March 10, 2022, and contributions must be sent to Banco de Portugal by email to averiguacao.accao.sancionatoria@bportugal.pt.
