Ordinance no. 37-A/2021 of 15 February was published, approving the regulation on Cultural Support Measures, transversal to the entire sector, in the context of response to the COVID-19 disease pandemic.
The diploma created the Garantir Cultura Programme, which is divided into support for enterprises - with an initial allocation of 30 000 000.00 euros - and support for individual and collective artistic entities that pursue activities of a non-commercial nature - with an initial allocation of 12 000 000.00 euros.
Extraordinary support is created for artists, authors, technicians and other cultural professionals, in the form of a subsidy of € 438.81.
Support was also created within the scope of the Directorate-General for the Arts (DGARTES), the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage (DGPC), the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries (DGLAB), the Regional Directorates for Culture, the Institute of Film and Audiovisual Media, I. P. (ICA, I. P.), and the State's programme for the acquisition of Portuguese contemporary art.
The Ordinance is effective as from 15 February 2021.
