The Ordinance extending No. 60/2023, 2sd March, extends the changes in the Collective Bargaining between the Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Association of Portugal (AHRESP) and the Union SITESE (catering and beverages), released in the Labor and Employment Bulletin, no. 26, of July 15, 2022.
Under the terms of art. 1 of the present diploma, the situations in which the working conditions, contained in the changes to the Collective Bargaining, are extended are listed.
Under the terms of art. 2, there are two situations concerning the application in time of the ordinance:
- The ordinance comes into effect on March the 7th;
- The wage amount by job position and clauses of a pecuniary nature provided for in the extended agreement take effect as of August 1st, 2022.
In this context and considering the social and economic circumstances that justify the extension, in accordance with the provisions of article 514, no. 2 of the Labor Code, the extension of the scope of application of amendments to the collective agreement to employment relationships not covered by collective bargaining regulation is being promoted, with the aim of standardizing the minimum working conditions of workers and, on an economic level, the approximation of the conditions of competition between companies in the same sector.
