TAG Alliances in the Press

TAG Alliances Ranked Third Globally for Eighth Consecutive Year

Once again, Accountancy Age has recognized TAG Alliances® as one of the top three accounting alliances  in the world for 2019. This is the eighth consecutive year that TAG Alliances has been ranked in this elite position. The rankings include 20 associations and alliances, and are based on the collective revenues of each organization’s member firms. TAG Alliances is prominently featured in Accountancy Age's report, which announces the 2019 rankings and examines the status of international networks, associations, and alliances in a time of continuing global economic uncertainty.

In "Top 40 International Networks, Associations and Alliances: Growth across the board," TAG Alliances President & CEO, Richard Attisha, explains how TAG Alliances helps its members remain competitive in the rapidly-developing technological landscape affecting the accounting profession:

“We continue to make progress in forging relationships, or “friendships,” with providers of services and solutions to professional services firms. Clients want to see that firms are being innovative and leveraging technology, and while the Big Four may have seemingly endless resources to invest in new technologies, it is not easy for mid-size firms to invest in and support the new technology they need.”

Mr. Attisha also discusses how this disruptive technology development is affecting the battle for talent among accounting firms in "Top 40 International Networks, Associations and Alliances: The road ahead":

"Perhaps the greatest challenge facing the accounting profession, the battle for talent. The topic of recruiting, developing, and retaining talent has long been discussed at our international conferences, regional meetings, and managing partner summits. According to our members, the battle for talent in the accounting profession is being fought internationally and among firms of all sizes. We have realized that you cannot discuss talent without talking about technology and the disruption it is causing in the accounting profession.

The new CPA will need to have the skills necessary to mine data needed to provide strategic business advice to clients and be able to communicate this advice effectively."

In addition to being one of the largest alliances in the world, TAG Alliances also distinguishes itself as one of the few multidisciplinary alliances for accounting firms. Composed of TIAG® (The International Accounting Group), an alliance of independent accounting firms; TAGLaw®, an alliance of independent law firms; and TAG-SP®, a multidisciplinary alliance of strategic partners, TAG Alliances serves the full business needs of its members' clients in over 105 countries.
