As a part of TAG Foundation's efforts to give back to our conference host cities, and on the recommendation of our Philadelphia TAGLaw member, we have chosen to support the Philadelphia Bar Foundation with a $2,500 donation. Although our Spring 2020 International Conference in Philadelphia was transformed into our first Virtual International Conference, Jessica Hilburn-Holmes, Esq., Executive Director of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, was able to "virtually" join us and discuss the organization and the support they give to the Philadelphia community.
The Bar Foundation is Philadelphia’s philanthropic hub for legal aid, engaging the legal community, and embodying their commitment to access to justice for all. Nearly 40 non-profit legal aid organizations receive annual grants and other support from the Bar Foundation, representing a full range of vital services for people in need. Non-profit grantees of the Bar Foundation include organizations with impact nationally and internationally, including HIAS Pennsylvania (immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers), Juvenile Law Center (children’s rights), Women's Law Project (rights and status of all girls, women, and their families), plus other non-profits working on immigration and many crucial issues.
