Michael Knapstein was recently promoted from Director to Partner in the Firm’s Audit and Accounting Practice. Michael has over 12 years of experience providing accounting, assurance, business advisory and tax planning services to closely held and private equity owned middle-market companies. Michael’s industry experience includes professional service firms, manufacturing, distribution, information technology, Software-as-a-Service, healthcare, real estate, securities brokers and dealers, and employee benefit plans.
Jeff Conrad recently joined FGMK as a Partner in the Firm’s Tax Practice. Jeff is a licensed CPA and attorney with more than 20 years of experience who has spent his career providing tax planning solutions to closely held business owners, including business and ownership succession planning. He also has extensive experience providing tax and succession/estate planning advice to high-net-worth family groups and family office clients, advising them regarding individual taxation, federal and state estate tax planning, generation skipping transfer tax planning, trust structuring and administration, family limited partnership, and philanthropic planning.
Michael Pearson recently joined FGMK as a Director in the Firm’s Specialty Tax Practice. Michael has 15 years of experience and his practice covers the areas of international tax planning and compliance, including cross-border restructurings, repatriation planning, as well as inbound and outbound tax strategy. Michael’s previous experience includes serving multinational firms, as well as a billion-dollar automotive supplier, where he was involved in all facets of international tax structuring and repat planning, provision, compliance, domestic audit defense and cross-border merger/reorganization transactions. He was also responsible for negotiating and resolving statutory tax audits around the world, including jurisdictions with rapidly evolving regulatory environments.
