Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants are delighted to announce that the firm’s consultant and former partner, Robert Jamies
on, has won the Tolley’s Taxation Lifetime Achievement Award 2018.
Robert was nominated for the award by his colleague, Gill Tallon, Mercer & Hole’s Deputy Managing Partner and Private Client Partner. Gill credits Robert’s influence on the strength of Mercer & Hole’s tax offering.
Mercer & Hole are a Top 25 firm for private client, with a quarter of the firm’s partners working in this area, as well as being reputed for expertise in corporate and business tax.
Speaking of Robert’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Gill said “It has been a privilege to work alongside Robert as a fellow partner at Mercer & Hole. He has trained many of our tax team and this level of expertise and knowledge has been passed to our clients through our advisory services.
“On a more personal level, Robert is charismatic and has a great deal of presence. He is warmly thought of and, whenever I come across tax professionals from other firms, they are full of stories about Robert and always ask after him.
“I am so pleased Robert’s contribution to the tax profession has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award and I believe he is highly deserving of it.”
