Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants are pleased to announce Alison Palmer and Henry Page will become partners of the firm on 1 October.
Alison Palmer will be a Private Client Partner, having previously been a director at the firm. Alison advises clients on all taxation aspects of their financial affairs, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning, the use of trusts, offshore matters and claiming applicable reliefs. In particular, she has an interest in residence issues and the taxation of foreign domiciliaries.
Henry Page will be a Corporate Advisory Partner. Henry was formerly a director at Mercer & Hole although he originally joined the firm as a Graduate Trainee in 2005. Henry leads transactional projects within Corporate Advisory Services, working closely with the firm’s Corporate Finance team and with the support of Mercer & Hole’s corporate business tax specialists. Henry is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner. He has experience of all types of restructuring work, extending to both companies and LLPs.

1 October will also see a change to the management structure at the firm which come with the retirement of Managing Partner Paul Webster. Paul Maberly will now be Managing Partner and Gill Tallon will be Deputy Managing Partner. The role of Deputy Managing Partner has been newly created to assist with the duties and responsibilities involved with running the firm and setting the firm’s strategy. Paul Maberly will continue in his role as Senior Partner which has been the case since October 2013.
