On Wednesday 31st May, ESV held its first Business Owners Event for 2017. Clients and guests had the pleasure of meeting and hearing from Australia’s first female Winter Olympic Gold Medallist, Alisa Camplin.
Although she eventually dominated the field of aerial skiing, Alisa’s first time seeing snow was at the age of 19, when she decided to learn how to ski. Alisa broke nearly every bone in her body as she climbed through the ranks and eight years later, at 27 years old, she brought home an Olympic Gold Medal in Freestyle Aerial Skiing. She achieved this all whilst building a global business career with corporate giant IBM.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PLANNING
Alisa shared with the crowd of business owners that the foundation of her sporting and corporate success was the meticulous planning and preparing involved throughout the process.
She achieved outstanding results in a short period by carefully tracking her personal progress against short-term and long-term goals. Her rigorous planning timetable incorporated all areas she would need to develop in to reach her end-goal, including physical, mental, financial and emotional strength.
