Burgis & Bullock, Warwickshire, England, has opened a new office in Stratford-upon-Avon, a town known worldwide as the birthplace of William Shakespeare.
At a packed launch event, Burgis & Bullock welcomed representatives from local businesses, professional firms, and public bodies to see round their new offices in the heart of Stratford’s business district.
Managing partner, Wende Hubbard, commented, “Our strategic analysis indicated that Stratford and its surrounding area was underserved for high quality financial, accounting, and tax advice with businesses and individuals often forced to look to cities such as Birmingham or London for help in specialist areas. Opening an office here is, therefore, a natural geographical expansion for our firm and we are overwhelmed by the positive welcome and support we have received from businesses and professionals.”
While Stratford is best known for its associations with the bard, it has a thriving business community with a range of small and medium sized enterprises. The area is also home to many business owners, company directors, and landed estates, which are a good fit for the firm’s specialist personal tax advisory team.
2016 is the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare. This has been commemorated in Stratford through a series of events including the creation of a new heritage landmark at New Place, the site of Shakespeare’s family home. The Burgis & Bullock team are looking forward to being involved in the community life of the town as well as its business activities.
