The team at Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants in Milton Keynes donned their hats on Thursday 24th March in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
Partners, Cathy Corns, Andrew Lawes and Mike Joy were joined by their colleagues in taking part in the charity’s ‘Wear a Hat Day’ which aims to raise awareness of brain tumours and raise money for research into finding a cure.
According to Brain Tumour Research, despite brain tumours killing more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, only 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to brain tumour research. The charity is endeavouring to raise money for seven specialist research centres and to fund brain tumour research in the same way as other cancers.
Mercer & Hole Tax Partner, Cathy Corns said “We enjoyed taking part in Wear a Hat Day and proudly support the work of Brain Tumour Research. Comparing headgear is a talking point, which raises awareness of the charity’s campaign and ultimately its aims and objectives. It was good to see everyone here getting involved.”
