FGMK was proud to sponsor and participate in the first Special Olympics Illinois Foundation Golf Outing on June 29th at the Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette, IL. The event successfully benefited 22,000 Special Olympic athletes and 20,000 Young Athletes in Illinois. Through programming in sports, health, education and community building, Special Olympics is changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by addressing the global injustice, isolation, intolerance and inactivity they face.
Along with thousands of runners, walkers, veterans and supporters, FGMK was proud to both sponsor and participate in A Safe Haven Foundation’s 5th Annual 5k RUN! To End Homelessness, Music Revolution to End Homelessness, and Homeless Veteran Stand Down at Chicago’s Douglas Park in North Lawndale on Sunday, July 12, 2015. An Honorary Host Committee, Chaired by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, and over 90 elected officials from throughout the State of Illinois also lent their support to the event where over 500 Homeless Veterans attended the military Stand Down, and nearly One Million Dollars of in-kind contributions were made. A Safe Haven Foundation is a 501(c)3 not for profit, social enterprise that helps people aspire, transform and sustain their lives as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency with pride and purpose.
