On Wednesday 6 August, ESV (New South Wales, Australia) hosted an exclusive group of business owners for a Maccabi NSW Breakfast of Champions.
Brian Schwartz was invited along to share his years of wisdom with the group. Having held a number of senior executive and non-executive business roles, this was an invaluable opportunity for attendees to talk business with a true champion.
Brian certainly holds an impressive resume, which includes being the former chief executive of Ernst & Young Australia and of Investec Bank, as well as being the current Chairman of Insurance Australia Group and a Director of the Westfield Corporation.
Brian is also the Deputy Chairman of Football Federation Australia, and it is this title that was of the most interest to attendees of the breakfast. Less than a month after the World Cup drew to a nail-biting final in Brazil, Brian was able to shed some light on future plans for football in Australia and around the globe.
He also shared his insider insights into the business and politics of sport, and what it takes to be a leader in such an environment.
The event complimented ESV's Business Owner Series, which aims to bring together like-minded, successful men and women to Inform, Connect and Inspire business owners in our network. These events are an opportunity to network with business owners and professionals, as well as a chance to discuss business with some of Australia's best thought leaders.
