An accountant has merged with a larger West Midlands rival. Kemp Taylor has completed a tie-up with Burgis & Bullock (Warwickshire, England).

Kemp Taylor, in West Walk, Leicester, has two partners and seven staff, while Burgis has seven partners and 70 staff.

The merged business will be known as Burgis & Bullock (Leicester) in the East Midlands.

Sean Farnell, partner at Burgis & Bullock, said: "The merger combines 126 years' experience and will offer an expanded business support and specialist expertise to businesses across the East Midlands in areas including VAT dispute resolution, wealth planning and tax planning.

"The new business will also work extensively in corporate finance and the Leicester office will become a member of The International Accounting Group (TIAG)."
