Along Chile's northern border you can find the Atacama desert - perhaps the driest place on earth. Estimates are that some parts of the desert have not received any rainfall for thousands of years. Thankfully, the country stretches over 6,000 kilometers from north to south and includes a wonderful Mediterranean climate in the center of the country where there is much to enjoy. In fact, a little more than six million people enjoy that climate in the Santiago region – so much so that they call it home. TIAG has found something to like in Santiago as well.
