National accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, has added Nathalie Hoffman as a director in the Energy Compliance Services practice where she will serve as a key resource on the certification and post-certification processes under California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and ongoing LCFS amendments. Nathalie will play an important role on the team in guiding clients through the e-RINS process as part of the EPA regulation updates expected this quarter and assist with obtaining energy incentives available within the Inflation Reduction Act.
A certified LCFS verifier, Nathalie has more than 15 years of experience in fuels regulation and compliance and has been highly involved in California’s LCFS regulation since its inception. With a background in project finance as a partner for a top 10 global law firm, she most recently served as CEO of a boutique consultancy focused on providing LCFS-related advisory services to producers of alternative fuels, including biomethane, electricity and hydrogen. Nathalie’s has also worked in the São Paulo sugarcane ethanol industry providing her a deep understanding of Brazilian biofuels.

Nathalie has authored numerous articles on the subject of renewable natural gas and is a regular speaker at industry conferences. She is a member of the American Biogas Council, where she serves on the board of directors and co-chairs the Agriculture Committee. Fluent in Portuguese, Nathalie received her bachelor of science in mathematics from the University of Michigan and both her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of California Los Angeles.
