Weaver Grows Forensics and Litigation Practice with New Managing Director, Victor Padilla, CFE

National certified public accounting and advisory firm, Weaver, the 35th largest public accounting firm in the United States, has added Victor Padilla, CFE, as a new managing director in the forensics and litigation services practice. Padilla has more than 15 years of domestic and international experience in corporate and government investigations, forensic accounting, damage calculations, fraud detection, litigation consulting, advanced data analytics and anti-corruption efforts. His background includes a broad array of cases involving investigations of kickbacks, collusive bidding and money laundering, among other unlawful activities.

“Bringing Victor on board reflects Weaver’s commitment to building a best-in-class forensics, valuation and transaction advisory team,” said David Rook, CPA, Chief Operating Officer. “His diverse background, particularly in the international arena, will complement the strengths and experience of the firm’s forensics and litigation team.”

Prior to joining Weaver, Padilla led investigations and compliance assessments, including those related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil. Additionally, he has designed and implemented a forensic data analytics platform for one of the ten largest accounting firms in the country.

Padilla is a graduate of the University of Dallas where he earned a master of business administration. He is a certified fraud examiner with extensive data analytics experience leveraging SQL Server and Oracle Databases. He is a student affiliate member of the American Institute of CPAs, a regular presenter at various accounting related organizations and has contributed to several industry publications including Risk & Compliance Magazine and Latin Lawyer.
