Munsch Atty Honored by Texas Bar Foundation

MUNSCH HARDT ATTORNEY HONORED BY TEXAS BAR FOUNDATION
Austin – March 23, 2009 – Munsch Hardt, a Texas-based law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, announced that M'Lou Patton Bell has been elected as a member of the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation.  "Fellows of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas," said the Texas Bar Foundation.  "Election is a mark of distinction and recognition of M'Lou's contributions to the legal profession."

"The Texas Bar Foundation was founded in 1965 and is currently the largest chartiably-funded bar foundation in the country with more that 7,500 Fellows throughout the state.  To date, the Texas Bar Foundation has distributed more than $10 million throughout Texas to assist nonprofit organizations with a wide range of justice related programs and services."


M'Lou's practice focuses on corporate, real estate and lending transactions. She routinely represents both buyers and sellers in all types of corporate and real estate transactions and has experience in business organization, on-airport leasing and development, lending and alternative financing, asset and stock transactions, acquisition, development and disposition of income producing properties and commercial leasing. M'Lou’s practice in development matters ranges from subdivision and shopping center development to acquisition and development in ski resort communities. In addition to corporate and real estate matters, she also represents clients in connection with government contracting and legislation.

M'Lou obtained her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from Midwestern State University.  She is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Real Estate Law and is also a member of the Austin Bar Association, including the Business, Corporate and Taxation and Real Estate Law sections and State Bar of Texas, including the Business Law, Corporate Counsel and Real Estate Law sections.

M’Lou is an active leader in numerous civic community affairs.  She is involved, both on a national basis and locally, in Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).  Locally, she serves as President Elect and, on the national level, is a member of the CREW Foundation Donor Development Committee.  M’Lou is also a Board Member at Large of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Austin/San Antonio Regional Chapter.  She has been an active supporter of Greater Austin First Tee since 2000 and served on its Board of Directors from 2002-2008.  M’Lou also served a member of the board of Central Texas Girl Scouts.  Additionally, M'Lou is an AV® Peer Rating recipient from Martindale-Hubbell and received the Travis County Women Lawyers' Association Pathfinder Award in 2007.
