Munsch Rising Stars 2009

EIGHT MUNSCH HARDT ATTORNEYS ACHIEVE TEXAS "RISING STARS" HONORS
Dallas – March 17, 2009 – Eight attorneys at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C., a Texas based law firm with over 100 attorneys and offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin, have been named to the 2009 list of Texas "Rising Stars," which was published in the April 2009 issue of Texas Monthly.  James R. Ketchum, Nolan C. Knight, Lynn Chuang Kramer, Timothy (Tim) A. Million, Gregory C. Noschese, Jay H. Ong, Ross H. Parker and Davor Rukavina are among those honored.

Published since 1998, "Rising Stars" recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state of Texas who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. Polling, research and selection are performed by Key Professional Media, Inc.


James R. Ketchum

James advises and counsels clients with respect to all aspects of commercial real estate transactions from finance and acquisition to development, leasing (ground, office and retail) and disposition, including foreclosure. In addition, James represents both creditors and debtors in interim, permanent and construction financing secured by real estate; commercial loans secured by accounts receivable, equipment, inventory, planes, vessels and other personal property; debt restructuring, workouts and problem loans, as well as multiple lender syndications, participations, letters of credit and asset based lending transactions.  James received his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, with a double major in Finance and Economics.

Nolan C. Knight

Nolan’s practice focuses on advising and counseling clients on compliance with environmental laws and regulations and litigation, both civil and criminal, related to environmental matters.  He has practiced in the environmental and regulatory area for over six years and has represented a wide range of clients in business, manufacturing and the private sector.  Nolan received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science, graduating cum laude, from Xavier University of Louisiana.

Lynn Chuang Kramer

Lynn represents clients in bankruptcy, business reorganization and commercial litigation matters. She has confirmed a Chapter 11 liquidating plan, been involved in highly contentious adversaries and participated in the prosecution and defense of preference and fraudulent transfer cases.  Lynn received her Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University.

Timothy (Tim) A. Million


Tim's practice focus is in the areas of insolvency, restructuring, creditors' rights and related commercial litigation. He has represented creditors, debtors and trustees in various Chapter 7 and 11 cases including, but not limited to, the travel and oil and gas industries.  Tim obtained his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from University of Houston Law Center and his Bachelor of Science in Finance, graduating with distinction, from Iowa State University.

Gregory C. Noschese


Greg is a Shareholder in the Business Litigation group, which consists of over 40 attorneys in Dallas, Houston and Austin. His practice focus is on construction litigation and real estate litigation, including contract disputes, land use litigation, boundary disputes, landlord/tenant litigation and commercial litigation where he handles a broad range of issues, including consumer protection, bankruptcy litigation and Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA).  Greg received his Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, graduating magna cum laude, from The Catholic University of America.

Jay H. Ong

Jay works within the Insolvency, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights group. He concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors' rights as well as corporate finance and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing various parties in bankruptcy and large business reorganizations, including senior lenders, trustees, debtors, committees, trade creditors, bond holders, insurers and receivers as well as commercial defendants.  Jay received his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with honors, from The University of Texas at Austin.

Ross H. Parker


Ross has practiced law for over 10 years at Munsch Hardt and works primarily on complex commercial litigation matters. In that capacity, he is responsible for handling a broad range of disputes, including securities litigation, director and officer litigation, and complex commercial litigation. A large portion of Ross's practice is focused on representing trustees and creditors' committees in bankruptcy related litigation.  Ross received his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Southern Methodist University.

Davor Rukavina


Davor is an Associate in the Insolvency, Restructuring & Creditors' Rights group, having joined Munsch Hardt after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Robert L. Jones, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Texas, during which time the court handled numerous complex issues and tried a wide variety of suits and proceedings.  Davor received his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from Texas Tech University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Whitman College.
