Kochhar & Co. (the Firm) is pleased to announce that Rajarshi Chakrabarti has recently re-joined the Firm as Senior Partner and Resident Head of the Mumbai office. Prior to re-joining the Firm, Raj was one of the founding members of Lumen Partners, an independent corporate law firm in Mumbai. His practice now stands merged with Kochhar & Co.
Raj’s previous stint includes having worked as corporate in-house counsel with one of India’s largest private telecom companies as well as with India’s largest media & entertainment group. As an in-house counsel, Raj played an instrumental role in advising senior management on high-stake and complex matters including business restructuring, corporate governance issues, regulatory risks and mitigation measures.
Raj has rich and diverse professional experience of over twenty years and his practice focuses on corporate & commercial transactions. He has substantial experience in mergers & acquisitions (in-bound and out-bound), joint ventures, technical collaborations, business and assets restructuring. He regularly advises large foreign corporations including Fortune 500 companies on a wide range of issues concerning their Indian operations.
