The legal services provided to Black Sea Oil & Gas, a company owned by The Carlyle Group and EBRD, in relation to the implementation of Midia Gas Development Project (MGD Project), the first new infrastructure and gas production project in the Black Sea to be developed in the last 30 years in Romania, is with certainty the representative project of the Energy and Natural Resources practice area of Ijdelea Mihailescu.
In 2019, Oana Ijdelea continued to coordinate the legal and advocacy efforts for MGD Project and for the Midia/Pelican Concession and had an essential contribution to successfully close-out vital phases of MGD Project, out of which we mention: the taking of the FID, the entering into Development and Production and the transfer from Gas Plus International to Black Sea Oil & Gas of an additional 5% participating interest in Midia/Pelican Concession. An absolute first registered by the lawyers of Ijdelea Mihailescu is the assistance provided for the obtaining of the first offshore construction permit issued in Romania pursuant to the provisions of the Offshore Law.
