Carter Newell is delighted to announce that it has been named the winner of Law Firm of the Year (1-100 lawyers) and the AIG Insurance Specialist Firm of the Year at the 2019 Australasian Law Awards.
Accepting the awards on behalf of the firm in Sydney on 23 May 2019, Managing Partner Paul Hopkins said, 'I am thrilled and delighted to accept this award. I want to thank all of our partners and staff for their fantastic contribution. Our partners are recognised nationally as leaders in their specialist practice areas. These awards are so much about what our talented, specialist lawyers do every day'.
Reflecting on the Australian Law Firm of the Year award, Paul Hopkins said, 'As we celebrate our 30th year, it is tremendous that the culture and direction of the firm to continually strive to do better is paying off. We never stop trying. We recognise the great privilege it is to act on behalf of our clients, and we value the trust they place in us. This is the 6th year Carter Newell has been named as a finalist under the current award methodology and the 11th year we have been a finalist for the Australasian Law Awards. Last year the firm won State/Regional Law Firm of the Year.
