Piper Alderman hosts the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull

On Thursday, 7th of June 2018, Piper Alderman had the privilege to host the Prime Minister of Australia, the Hon. Malcolm Turnbull in its Brisbane office.

During a scheduled trip to Queensland, the Prime Minister attended the private boardroom lunch, speaking to a small group of business leaders from the telecommunications, energy and infrastructure sectors to discuss public policy matters.

In attendance from Piper Alderman was Managing Partner, Tony Britten-Jones; Ted Williams, Head of Brisbane Office and Andrew Rankin, Corporate Partner.

Commenting on the event, Tony Britten-Jones said:

“Piper Alderman was extremely honoured to host the Prime Minister and have the opportunity to engage with him in a private forum.  Over lunch the Prime Minister responded to questions and discussed a range of issues impacting on the energy, infrastructure and communications industries.  The event follows on from our successful November 2017 in-house dinner with the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, Treasurer.  We value our relationship with the Federal Government and see many opportunities for our clients and the firm to engage at this level.”
