Carter Newell has welcomed two new lawyers to the firm’s partnership

Joining the partnership at Cartner Newell are Katherine Hayes (Insurance) and Kelly Alcorn (Planning & Environment).

Senior Partner Paul Hopkins said it was an exciting time for the firm as it continued its upward growth trajectory.

“The elevation of Katherine and appointment of Kelly to our partnership is a significant benefit for Carter Newell and our clients both in terms of the incredible talent these lawyers bring to the firm, but also in terms of the diversity it brings to the partnership table.”

Katherine joined the firm’s insurance team in 2013, with Kelly joining Carter Newell having been a partner at a national firm.

“One of the key drivers of our success has been the attraction and retention of outstanding staff, so it is very pleasing to see Katherine and Kelly being recognised for their expertise and the value they add to their clients, their teams and to the firm.”

“It’s an immense endorsement for the continued growth of the firm.”

Mr Hopkins said Carter Newell was committed to advancing staff on the basis of expert technical skills, excellent client service and a commitment to the firm’s values.

Katherine enjoys a national reputation for cyber risk, directors’ & officers’ claims and professional indemnity. Kelly’s planning and environment practice compliments Carter Newell’s existing and established commercial property, energy & resources and construction & engineering practices.

“We are thrilled by the strong legal talent we have in our firm, and with each round of elevations we are seeing an ever increasing number of outstanding female lawyers joining our senior ranks.”, Mr Hopkins said.

“It’s a great outcome for our firm and for our clients as we continue to provide excellent legal service to our clients.”
