Manchester commercial law firm Kuits has once again been awarded Leading Firm status in the Chambers UK Guide 2018.
Kuits retained a top Band 1 ranking for corporate/M&A, with executive partner Robert Levy and head of the department Rob Buckley also retaining their ranking as Band 1 lawyers, the highest commendation for leading individuals.
Licensing department head Anthony Lyons also retained his Band 1 status, noted as ‘a market-leading figure with a strong track record’.
Kuits also ranked in four other core practice areas, including, banking and finance, intellectual property, licensing and real estate, while real estate litigation was given prominence as a recognised practice. Twelve team members have also been awarded Ranked Lawyer status.
These rankings follow on from Kuits’ tax and estate planning team being included in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide, where law firms are recognised for the quality of their work with high net worth individuals and families.
The Chambers Guides have been ranking the best law firms and lawyers since 1990, and now cover 185 jurisdictions throughout the world. Chambers rank both lawyers and law firms based on the research of 170 full-time editors and researchers, who conduct thorough client interviews in order to gauge the quality of legal services provided.
Praise for Kuits from clients interviewed by Chambers included references to the firm’s “flexibility, commerciality and depth of knowledge” as key strengths. Clients also praised Kuits approach to client care, noting that “their advice fully takes into account what's in our best interests rather than their own, which is extremely refreshing. They're a cut above the rest."
Robert Levy commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded Leading Firm status in the Chambers UK Guide again this year, ranking us among the best firms in the North West for legal and commercial advice.
“The honour of our recognition is always of particular significance as it has come as a direct result of positive feedback we have received from our client base of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, based on the trusted advice they have received.”
