With the official delivery of the works, main contractor Batidecor handed over this month to Lifenet Onlus the Hospital of Divine Providence just completed in Loul Sessène, Senegal. The property and management of this center was simultaneously transferred to the local Congregation of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Mary. This is the first Senegalese structure entirely dedicated to gynecology and state-of-the-art obstetrics.
The project was fully financed with the funds raised in Italy by Lifenet Onlus association with the active support of Rotary International. Studio Legale Sutti, which had already sponsored charity swing music galas organised by Lifenet in Milan to promote the initiative and raise the necessary funds, has played the role of Lifenet Onlus’s counsel and advisors throughout all the different steps of the project on a pro bono basis. Namely, a Studio Legale Sutti team headed by Stefano Sutti and Giangiuseppe Sanna, has assisted Lifenet during the complex and multi-annual planning and implementation phases, and in the relations between the various participants, contractors and beneficiaries, and with the local public agencies involved in the project.
Stefano Sutti commented: “It has been hard work, and sometimes critical show-stoppers made us doubt that this philantropic endeavour could be brought to an end, but now that my firm’s commitment has been rewarded with the final delivery of the hospital centre, we are especially proud to have been in a position to contribute to its creation by making the various legal skills required available to its initiators”.
