von Briesen adds eight

VON BRIESEN & ROPER, S.C. ADDS EIGHT ATTORNEYS   

MILWAUKEE, WI – Randall D. Crocker, President and CEO of von Briesen & Roper, s.c., today  announced the addition of eight attorneys: Shareholders William P. Croke, John E. Feldbruegge,  Philip C. Reid, Patrick Cavanaugh Brennan and Peter L. Ramirez; Associates Jessica M.  Swietlik, Anne E. Wal and Sara L. Harris.
Attorney William P. Croke is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group.  Croke’s practice has consisted of trial and appellate work in State and Federal Courts since admission to  the Bar in 1970. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Defense Research Institute and Civil  Trial Counsel of Wisconsin. He earned a J.D. in 1970 and a B.A. in 1965 both from Marquette  University. He resides in Mequon, Wisconsin, with his wife.   

Attorney John E. Feldbruegge is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice  Group. Feldbruegge’s practice is devoted to representing businesses and insurance companies in  civil litigation proceedings. He has appeared in the Wisconsin Courts of Appeals, the Wisconsin  Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of  Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He earned a J.D. in 1968 and a B.S. in 1965 both  from Marquette University. He resides in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin with his wife.   

Attorney Philip C. Reid is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group.  Reid has extensive civil litigation experience including appellate work. He is a member of the State  Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee and American Bar Associations, Civil Trial Counsel of Wisconsin  and the Defense Research Institute. He earned a J.D. in 1985 from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in 1982 from Northwestern University. He resides in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with his wife and  children.   

Attorney Patrick Cavanaugh Brennan joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk  Management Practice Group. Brennan has tried numerous large-scale, complex, multi-defendant  criminal conspiracy cases to jury in both the district and circuit courts and also devotes a substantial  portion of his practice to the defense of white-collar criminal cases. Brennan earned a J.D. from  Marquette University in 1988 and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1985. He is  a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Eastern District Bar  Association, the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense  Lawyers and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He resides in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with  his wife and children.   

Attorney Peter L. Ramirez joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk  Management Practice Group. Ramirez has a broad range of commercial, civil and criminal litigation  experience. Ramirez earned a J.D. in 1988, and a B.A. in 1985, both from Marquette University. He  is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association and the Wisconsin  Hispanic Lawyers Association. He resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his wife and children.   

Attorney Jessica M. Swietlik joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation and Risk  Management Practice Group. Her practice focuses on insurance coverage, subrogation, commercial  litigation and toxic tort. Swietlik earned a J.D., cum laude, in 2006 from Marquette University, and a  B.A. in 2003 from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is a member of the State Bar of  Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. She resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   

Attorney Anne E. Wal joined the firm as an Associate in the Real Estate, Construction, and  Banking, Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring Sections. Wal has an extensive background in  banking. She earned a J.D. in 2006 from Marquette University and a B.B.A. in 1996, from the  University of Wisconsin. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American and  Milwaukee Bar Associations and the Association for Women Lawyers. Wal dedicates her services to  the Polish community, and recently received an award from the Polish American Congress honoring her contributions. In 2001, Anne received a “Women of Influence” award from the Business Journal  for her work with Polish Fest. She resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   

Attorney Sara L. Harris joined the firm as an Associate in the Labor and Employment and  Compensation and Benefits Sections. Harris has significant labor and employment and employee  benefits experience from working for seven years at a billion dollar, global manufacturing company.  Harris earned a J.D. in 2006 and a M.S. in Human Resources in 1999 both from Marquette  University. She earned a B.B.A. in 1994 from the University of Wisconsin. She is a member of the  State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. She resides in Racine, Wisconsin with  her husband.
