The target had recently entered into negotiations with a large corporate to migrate all of its records to the target from another RIM provider, following that RIM provider’s breach of data protection laws. Getting a termination notice as a result of a failure to protect customer data properly is a costly reminder that data protection is a major consideration for customers (not to mention that it is a legal requirement).
