Voisin law has announced that they will be continuing their sponsorship of the Jersey Heritage Patron Scheme for a second year in order to help the charity to preserve our Island’s rich history.
Money raised by the Patron Scheme contributes significantly to Jersey Heritage’s self-generated income and helps the charity to build and conserve their Collection, create inspirational exhibitions and engage people through learning opportunities. The continued support from Voisin law and Nedbank Private Wealth will continue to support the Patron Scheme, providing exclusive activities and social events for the Patrons in return for their vital support to Jersey Heritage.
Money raised through the Patron Scheme so far has enabled Jersey Heritage to undertake a number of projects, including the development of the ‘Jersey Ice Age Island’, one of their most significant exhibitions ofrecent years. Money from the Patron Scheme enabled Jersey Heritage to borrow items from other museums that were necessary in order to execute the exhibition to such a high standard.
In 2017, money raised from the Patron Scheme will be crucial to support the digitalisation of the Jersey Evening Post photographic archive. This will enable thousands of images to be available on the Jersey Heritage archives and collections online portal.
Jeremy Swetenham, Commercial Operations Director, Jersey Heritage, says:
‘At Jersey Heritage we are dedicated to protecting our Island’s rich heritage and cultural environment. We aim to inspire people to nurture their heritage in order to safeguard it for the benefit and enjoyment of everyone. The Patron Scheme forms a significant part of fundraising, which makes these ambitions possible. We really appreciate the support from Voisin law, Nedbank Private Wealth and the Patrons, who are key to the success of many projects and we thank everyone involved in making our programme of activities possible.’
Jeffrey Giovannoni, Partner, Voisin, adds:
‘Voisin is one of Jersey’s longest-established law firms and protecting the heritage of our Island is very important to us. As such, we are delighted to be supporting Jersey Heritage and the excellent work they do for a second year. Their work is crucial in order to preserve the collections of artefacts, works of art, documents and information relating to Jersey’s History. It is these collections that define our Island’s history and the patron scheme has been extremely successful in raising the funds needed to protect it.’
Andrew Robins, Senior Private Banker, Nedbank Private Wealth, commented:
‘Nedbank Private Wealth’s Jersey office has been established for over 20 years and our longstanding commitment to the Island remains undiminished. We are now looking forward to another year of supporting the Jersey Heritage Patron Scheme and knowing that we are helping towards the preservation of our Island's major historic sites, award-winning museums and public archives.’
