Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP (MSK) is pleased to announce attorneys, Emily Evitt and Gilbert Lee, have been elected to the partnership of the firm.
Emily Evitt, a graduate with distinction from Stanford Law School, is an experienced intellectual property litigator who works with film and television studios, record companies, music publishing companies, video game companies, and other major online content providers. She defends her clients against copyright and trademark infringement allegations, and also brings actions to enforce their rights. Emily is a founding member of the firm’s interdisciplinary startup practice, Start 'N Knupp, which provides early stage companies with corporate, intellectual property, labor and employment, and immigration advice. She has written and spoken on intellectual property issues facing emerging companies.
As a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennyslvania Law School,Gilbert Lee has spent his career as a commercial litigator with experience in a variety of areas, including intellectual property, class action, and cases on appeal. In the intellectual property field, he currently works chiefly with video-game companies in trademark- and copyright-infringement actions, contractual disputes, and other strategic advice. In the class action realm, he chiefly defends consumer cases, including ones involving electronics, technology, and subscription services. He also has significant experience resolving commercial contractual disputes between businesses and shareholders. He has also handled appeals in multiple federal circuit courts around the country and state supreme courts.
