Reid and Riege, P.C. is pleased to announce that Adam T. Boston has been named a Stockholder of the firm.
Adam is a member of the firm’s Multiemployer Benefit Plans Practice Area. In this role he provides general counsel services to jointly-administered employee benefit funds established under collective bargaining agreements, which include defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans, and health and welfare plans. Adam routinely advises Boards of Trustees, appointed by sponsoring unions and management, who are responsible under the Taft-Hartley Act, ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code for the administration of such funds. He focuses his practice in the areas of plan administration, contract negotiation, investment law, and litigation avoidance. Adam also has significant experience in employment litigation, litigation avoidance and day-to-day human resources advice and counsel. Adam has been recognized as a New England Super Lawyers Rising Star in Employment and Labor Law since 2013.
Adam is a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Basketball Club and serves in a leadership role on the Executive Committee of the Hartford Junior Wolfpack Hockey Club, where he is also a coach at the AAA level. Adam is also a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Connecticut Bar Association, American Bar Association and Sports Lawyers Association.
Adam received his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law; his LL.M., Taxation and Employee Benefits Certificate, from the Georgetown University Law Center; and his B.A., with honors, from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
