Piper Alderman’s national dispute resolution team adds strategic lateral partner hire in Adelaide

National law firm Piper Alderman has announced the appointment of Mike Hayes as a Partner in its national dispute resolution team based in Adelaide. Mike joins with Associate, Antony Disciscio.

Mr Hayes has practiced in commercial litigation and dispute resolution for more than 20 years and has extensive experience in large scale corporate and commercial litigation across various jurisdictions, as both solicitor and counsel.  Acting for a wide range of clients including large corporations, firms and private individuals, Mike’s routinely advises clients across many industries including financial services, insurance and construction.

As an adjunct to Mr Hayes’ practice, he has particular experience in insolvency, recoveries and restructuring having acted for liquidators, receivers and trustees nationally and internationally.  He has also acted for directors in respect of insolvent trading claims and creditors in respect of preference claims in South Australia and interstate.  He has been involved in complex insolvency administrations and liquidations. Mike is the Chair of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) (SA/NT Division).
