Ali Sami Er graduated from Bahçeşehir University School of Law and he completed his LL.M. in Columbia University. He pursues PhD program in commercial and capital markets law at Dokuz Eylul University.
Ali Sami Er provides corporate legal advisory services to foreign and local clients and represents such clients throughout dispute resolution procedures. He has extensive experience in capital markets, public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, financial transactions (corporate, project and Islamic) and real estate developments. As per his expertise on corporate governance, he has also taken active roles in restructuring of family enterprises and their joint-ventures. Having established legal departments in public companies and companies controlled by foreign shareholders in his career, he has well established experience in fulfilling the compliance procedures and attends client matters proactively as a solution partner.
Gaye Spolitis graduated from Dokuz Eylul University School of Law. She received her LL.M degree in International Law at London School of Economics. Following her LL.M degree, she studied her M.Phil. degree in International Studies and Economics at University of Cambridge.
Ms. Spolitis is with the Corporate Affairs Department of Erdem & Erdem particularly focusing on international mergers and acquisitions, energy law and energy retail, public offerings, shareholders agreements, public tenders, privatizations, joint ventures, private equity investments and legal structuring, international commercial transactions and contracts, company law and corporate governance and infrastructure agreements. Among other matters, she takes leading role in advising and coordinating all aspects of cross-border and local strategic business transactions in energy, oil and natural gas, retail, insurance, food, heavy industries and strategic mega-infrastructure privatizations (refinery and transport). Gaye Spolitis advises Turkish clients for their outbound investments and foreign clients investing in Turkey on structural legal matters and provides strategic legal consultancy and representation. She also works on designing and developing corporate compliance and competition screening programmes and implementation.
