BOYNECLARKE LLP (Nova Scotia) is pleased to welcome Matthew Edmonds as an Associate to the firm’s Business Law Team. Matt joins BOYNECLARKE LLP after leaving his consulting business, Edmonds Legal Solutions, where he advised law firms in the adoption and use of information technology.
Matt’s practice will focus on the intersection of law and technology; he will assist clients in matters involving privacy law, information security, intellectual property, and electronic transactions. In addition to practicing law, Matt will work in concert with firm’s IT team to optimize use of technology, with the aim of improving business practices, increasing efficiency, and enhancing client service.
A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, he has lectured on legal technology topics at professional development events organized by the Canadian Bar Association, Lawyers’ Insurance Association of Nova Scotia, Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, and Nova Scotia Criminal Lawyers Association. Matt is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society’s Law Office Management Professional Standards Committee, in which he assists in developing standards for the use of technology in the practice of law.
