Kuits corporate team completes £45m worth of deals in busy run-up to Christmas

Manchester law firm Kuits is celebrating a busy and successful end to 2015 after its corporate team advised on deals worth a combined total of £45 million in December alone.

The team completed nine transactions before close of play on New Year’s Eve, including the sale of Progress Care to the Priory Group.

Rob Buckley, head of the Kuits corporate and commercial team, said: “The team has advised on a high number of complex deals throughout the year, and December was no exception.

“As a Manchester-based firm, we think the value of the deals we completed in the last few weeks of 2015 reflects just how much the region is thriving.

“Naturally, we work with businesses both across the UK and internationally, but many of our clients have strong ties to the North West, so the level of activity we’ve seen is, we feel, a great indicator of the economic strength of the region.”

The team recently welcomed several new members, reflecting growth in both the volume and value of transactions undertaken, including Peter Allen, a former DWF partner, and Associate Helen Mather, who also joined from DWF.
