Best Small Law Firm in Australia!!! 

Carter Newell, TAGLaw's Brisbane Australia member firm,  has recently being voted the “Best Small Law Firm” in Australia at the 2006 Business Review Weekly (BRW)-St George (Bank) Client Choice Awards. The “Best Small Law Firm” award is open to firms with revenue under $50 million per year.

The BRW-St George Client Choice Awards have been developed to give the clients of Australia’s professional services firms, the opportunity to provide objective feedback on service levels. The awards confirm which firms are getting it right with clients and how they are achieving their success. More than 10,000 respondents participated in the study across Australia, rating more than 150 professional services firms. Beaton Consulting who undertook the independent research revealed that over 95% of the ratings were from independent sources rather than from client names supplied by firms.

The top performers were rated as good to excellent by at least 90% of their clients according to Beaton’s survey results.

Tony Featherstone, Editor of BRW Magazine (Australia's leading weekly business publication) stated that in reviewing all the responses there were three common themes that stood out and distinguished the winning firms - all winners are serious about customer service innovation, they have a clear business model and have the courage to invest for the long term and provide a better work-life balance.  “These firms also challenge their clients and themselves to ensure they are adding value. Winning firms are “client compelled” rather than simply market oriented” Featherstone said.
