On Sunday, November 2, 2014, French President, Francois Hollande began his first official state visit to western Canada, starting in Alberta.
During the visit, Philippe Zeller, Ambassador of France, appointed Roy Klassen as Honorary Consul of France in Calgary. Mr. Klassen, a partner at McLeod Law LLP (Alberta, Canada), said, “I am truly privileged to receive the appointment of Honorary Consul and I look forward to further developing relations between Calgary and France”.
