According to the Chambers Global Guide 2006, Nysingh has obtained rankings as one of a few law firms in the Netherlands in the field of EU and national Competition and antitrust law. Chambers’ assessment has resulted in rank 4 for Nysingh’s 8 lawyers section (European) competition and procurement law and a rank 2 for one of it’s partners, Cees Dekker. Nysingh is proud to be in the top of the law firms in this area of law. Chambers commented on the team:
“It is particularly well known for defending companies in litigation and investigations and has appealed a number of decisions at the European level. Much of the team’s time recently has been devoted to representing clients in cartel investigations, and the group has acted for several entities, including a non-Dutch client, in the NMa’s investigation into the construction industry.
There is no doubt that Cees Dekker is the star attraction at this competition team. He has a loyal stable of clients, one of whom told researchers: “ would follow him everywhere. He does an excellent job and knows a great deal.” Peers also repect him as “a quality practitioner who is a joy to work with.” The team includes Ingrid van den Berge who specialises in public procurement.
The firm was involved in the EC’s bitumen cartel investigation and defended three trade associations in cases relating to the road transport sector. It represented AVEBE in relation to the alleged sodium gluconate cartel.”
The three partners in Nysingh’s (European) competition and procurement law team are:
