Carlile Patchen & Murphy Names Key Positions of Firm

Effective today, the partners of the Columbus law firm of Carlile Patchen & Murphy have elected H. Ritchey Hollenbaugh as the firm’s Managing Partner, Robert B. Barnett, Jr. as a member of the Executive Committee, and Brigid E. Heid as Chair of the Employment Law Department.

Ritchey Hollenbaugh. “I’m very pleased to have this opportunity”.  Ritchey had served as the Chair of the firm’s Business Litigation Department. Having served as a past President of both the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association, and currently as a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association, Hollenbaugh’s election as Managing Partner brings enhanced local, state, and national recognition to the firm, as well as the benefit of his years of highly regarded litigation skills and prior law firm management.

Brigid E. Heid has been a member of the firm’s Employment Law Department since joining the firm in 2008. Brigid’s acknowledged expertise in her practice area insures that the employment law needs of the firm’s clients remain exceptionally well met. “I am honored and privileged to be named the Chair of the Employment Law Department at CPM” said Brigid. “We have an incredibly talented group of attorneys who are committed to providing outstanding service to our clients and helping them navigate employment-related business issues”.

H. Ritchey Hollenbaugh - Ritchey’s litigation practice includes representing clients in cases involving business disputes, white collar crime, election law and professional responsibility. Ritchey was awarded The Columbus Bar Association’s Bar Service Medal and the 2013 Ohio Bar Medal by the Ohio State Bar Association.

Robert B. Barnett, Jr. - Bob practices estate and business planning, ownership succession planning, and family wealth and estate planning. He has been chosen as an “Ohio Super Lawyer” since inception of the award, is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the Ohio State Bar Association, and a Fellow of The American College of Trust & Estate Counsel.

Brigid E. Heid - Brigid practices employment law focusing on business, commercial and employment litigation. In addition, she serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Columbus Bar Association Board of Governors, and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Franklin County, and the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has been named as one of the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Columbus by Super Lawyers.
