Mark Harrison, an attorney in the Phoenix law firm of Osborn Maledon, P.A. (Arizona), recently received the Chief Justice's Distinguished Service Award, presented by Arizona Supreme Court's Chief Justice Rebecca White Berch at the annual Judicial Conference in Tucson recently. The Award is given to a lawyer who has made outstanding contributions to the courts.
Justice Berch noted that Harrison has devoted thousands of hours serving the Supreme Court, State Bar, County Bar and American Bar Association Committees. Most recently, he chaired the ABA Jointed Commission to Evaluate and Revise the Code of Judicial Conduct.
Harrison also is known for mentoring young lawyers as a professor at both state university schools of law and continues to be a passionate advocate for judicial merit selection.
He has numerous state and national awards and currently chairs the national board of Justice at Stake, an organization dedicated to the preservation of a fair and impartial judiciary.
