Randall D. Crocker, President and CEO of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. (Wisconsin, USA), today announced the addition of two attorneys to the firm: Laurie J. McLeRoy and Geoffrey S. Trotier.
Attorney Laurie J. McLeRoy is a Shareholder in the Litigation and Risk Management Practice Group and practices in the firm’s Milwaukee office. McLeRoy focuses her practice in medical malpractice and products liability. In products liability defense matters, she has particular expertise in asbestos litigation and premises liability. In addition to her trial experience in Wisconsin, where she has successfully argued in front of the Wisconsin Supreme Court on medical malpractice, election law and insurance coverage issues, she has been involved in several substantial trials outside the State of Wisconsin defending asbestos litigation.
She received a J.D. (1987) from Marquette University Law School and a B.A (1982) from Wheaton College. McLeRoy is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin (Litigation and Appellate Sections), Milwaukee Bar Association and Defense Research Institute. She resides in Bayside, Wisconsin with her family.
Attorney Geoffrey S. Trotier is a Shareholder in the Labor and Employment Law Section and practices in the firm’s Milwaukee office. Trotier proactively assists businesses of all sizes and complexities as well as municipalities and school districts in many diverse labor and employment issues. He works closely with clients to devise and implement litigation avoidance strategies. Trotier frequently defends employers in matters involving discrimination, non-compete agreement enforcement, trade secrets, FMLA disputes, wrongful termination, OSHA, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour suits. He is licensed to practice law in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
He received a J.D. (2003) from the University of Minnesota Law School, an Artist Diploma - French Horn (1999) from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music (1997) from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a B.M. (1993) from Northwestern University. Trotier is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor & Employment Section), the State Bar of Wisconsin (Labor & Employment Section) and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
