Reid and Riege, P.C. (Connecticut, USA) is pleased to announce the addition of a new attorney. John R. Bashaw has joined the firm’s Hartford office as a Stockholder in the Environmental and Litigation Practice Areas.
John represents companies and individuals in enforcement actions undertaken by state environmental agencies and the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, and in private-party cost-recovery actions. He also has assisted clients in negotiating complex environmental remediation agreements, indemnification agreements, insurance coverage, and favorable purchase contracts for properties that contain environmental contaminants and liability issues. In the area of land use and wetlands, John regularly represents applicants and intervenors before local zoning and wetland commissions on environmental issues.
John received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Vermont Law School and his B.S. from the University of Vermont.
