Lewis and Roca Attorney Anthony Cabot Co-Edits Book "Regulating Internet Gaming: Challenges and Opportunities

Lewis and Roca LLP (Nevada, USA) is pleased to announce that partner and gaming law thought leader Anthony Cabot co-edited a book titled "Regulating Internet Gaming: Challenges and Opportunities" published by UNLV Gaming Press. The book will be available to order July 15.

"Internet gaming is an emerging field, especially in the U.S., and government officials accustomed to regulating land-based casinos will find regulating the Internet to be far different and more challenging," said Cabot, who authored the first chapter on Licensing.

Cabot is a partner and former Practice Group Leader of the firm's Gaming practice group. He helps clients in the areas of gaming law, Internet gambling, sweepstakes and contests. Covering the entire gaming spectrum, his clients include casino owners, game developers, Internet gambling sites, and companies that run contests and sweepstakes. Cabot provides legal counseling related to all types of games, encompassing online games, casual games and complex skill-based games.

"Regulating Internet Gaming: Challenges and Opportunities" is a comprehensive 400-page book addressing the various regulatory considerations necessary for proper regulation of internet gambling from licensing to technical standards. This book is a timely collection of 11 chapters written by leading regulatory experts discussing key considerations and model approaches to internet gaming regulation and outlining the important questions and emerging answers to regulating gaming activity outside of land-based casinos.
