Partner Christopher C. Palermo Appointed to Commercial Division Advisory Council
Chief Judge of the State of New York Jonathan Lippman has name Kelley Drye (Washington D.C., USA) litigation partner Christopher C. Palermo to the permanent Commercial Division Advisory Council. The Advisory Council was created by Chief Judge Lippman to implement recommendations of his Task Force on Commercial Litigation in the 21st Century by advising him on an ongoing basis about all matters concerning the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
The Advisory Council is also charged with keeping the Chief Judge apprised of developments in the business world that may affect the court system, and helping the Commercial Division better understand and respond to the needs of the business community.
This appointment marks the next step in Mr. Palermo’s involvement with the Commercial Division. In 1995, he was appointed by former Chief Judge Judith Kaye as the Secretary of the Commercial Courts Task Force, which created the Commercial Division.
