von Briesen & Roper, s.c. Launches Corporate University

Randall D. Crocker, President and CEO of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. (Wisconsin, USA), proudly announced the launch of “von Briesen University,” the Firm’s in-house technology and skills learning center. On Tuesday, January 8, 2013, the Firm held a collegiate tailgate-themed party for all employees that included cheerleaders from Carroll University. Bill Caraher, Chief Information Officer, showed the crowd of over 100 people the new interactive website offering one button registration for classes, a course calendar, and up-to-date training videos.

During his welcome, Randall D. Crocker, President and CEO, stated: “Professional services are provided by well-trained, value-adding, competent, dedicated professionals who have a passion for their work and for their clients. That is who we are. So we launch our vBU as an investment in training, and in you.”

von Briesen University (“vBU”) represents the final piece of von Briesen’s 2012 remodeling initiatives and was designed to provide ongoing education and development for the Firm’s attorneys and staff. With inspiration from The Apple Store, vBU features collaborative workstations, a “Genius Bar”, and cutting-edge “Red Board.” The course catalog provides detailed listings of each class upcoming class and “Genius Bar Fridays” provides employees with quick instruction on software and hardware. Offering state of the art technology, vBU serves as a resource for creating a culture of constant learning.

In November of 2011, von Briesen & Roper received the “2011 International Legal Technology Association’s (“ILTA”) Emerging Technology Champion Award” for the firm’s use of emerging technology in redesigning its Intranet.
