Eaton Peabody (Maine, USA) recently announced the addition of Bruce B. Hochman to the firm as a part of its Portland business expansion. The hiring of Hochman follows Eaton Peabody's earlier announcement that it is expanding to Portland and its hiring of well know litigator, Neal F. Pratt. Hochman will be resident in the firm's Portland office which will be open in early 2013.
Hochman joins Eaton Peabody's Business Practice Group where he will bring nearly 30 years of business and commercial law experience representing a wide range of banking and private business clients in connection with all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, workouts and commercial restructuring, insolvency, receiverships, foreclosure actions, and other financial distress and insolvency matters. He will also continue his general corporate and business law practice.

A well-known and highly respected lawyer in Maine, Hochman has represented numerous creditors before the Federal Bankruptcy Courts of Maine and has served as special counsel to the trustee in several proceedings. He has also been counsel to unsecured creditor's committees in many chapter 11 proceedings in Maine. Hochman is a frequent speaker on creditor's rights and obligations, collection and foreclosure law and bankruptcy issues.

In addition to his accomplished legal practice, Mr. Hochman is actively involved in his community, having previously served as Vice Chair of the Portland Chapter of the American Red Cross Board of Directors, a graduate of Leadership Maine, Zeta Class, past Board Member of Jobs for Maine Graduates, a fundraiser for the Casco Bay YMCA's Capital Campaign, and a Yarmouth Clam Festival Volunteer. He lives on Peaks Island with his wife and their two Labrador retrievers.
Mr. Hochman received his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Northern Colorado.
