Margaret J. George
Margaret J. George has joined us in the practice of law with a focus on Business Law. Raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Margaret received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University in 2007, majoring in Economics and Psychology. She completed her J.D. at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law in 2011, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar on June 8, 2012.
Margaret is an Executive Member of LEAF (Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund), Halifax Branch. She is also the former Secretary for the Dalhousie Law Students Society and former member of the Dalhousie Association of Women & the Law Mentorship Program.
Jessica D. Chapman
Jessica, a native from St. Margaret’s Bay, Nova Scotia, received her B.A. (Honours) in Psychology from Mount Allison University in 2008. Prior to completing her J.D. at Dalhousie University in 2011, Jessica worked for a term at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, was the coordinator of the Dalhousie’s ProBono program and volunteered in New Orleans with Habitat for Humanity.
During her legal studies, Jessica conducted research for the Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Community University Research Alliance. In 2010, Jessica received the Honorable Gordon S. Cowan Court of Appeal Internship and had the privilege of conducting research under the supervision of Chief Justice Michael MacDonald on the issue of contempt in family proceedings.
Following the completion of her law degree, Jessica traveled and volunteered in South East Asia for four months before commencing her articles at BOYNECLARKE LLP in June 2011. We invite you to visit our website for more information on Jessica as well as our Family Law team.
